For Sarcoma Awareness Month: A New Article on Selecting A Sarcoma Treatment Center

The Patient / Family / Caregiver Advisory Board of the Chondrosarcoma Foundation has created a series of Educational Articles dedicated to helping patients who are newly diagnosed, and those seeking a second or even a third opinion. The easy to read articles are designed to provide useful information in helping patients, families and caregivers make critical medical decisions. The first of these articles is entitled: Selecting A Sarcoma Treatment Center. The article addresses what credentials and qualifications you should examine when in selecting a medical facility that provides treatment for Chondrosarcoma (also relevant to all other sarcomas). With the help of the graphics team at Inhibrx, we created an easy to read, inclusive overview of a Sarcoma Treatment Center and provide recommendations on what to look for and what questions to ask when finding a Sarcoma Treatment Center. It also provides resources and organizations that provide directories of Sarcoma Centers including the Sarcoma Alliance and SARC: Sarcoma Alliance for Research through Collaboration and provides as list of on-line Face book support groups for help.

The article is posted on the Chondrosarcoma Foundation website (www.csfshayna.org) under the sub-title: Helpful Information. We encourage everyone to check it out and send it to anyone looking for a Sarcoma Treatment Center.
