It’s Spring, Passover is ending, it’s Easter Sunday….. their is a light at the end of the dark tunnel of the pandemic and hope for a new beginning.

With the knowledge of new medications and technologies for early diagnosis of Chondrosarcoma, my hope is we are on the verge of a new era to improve care for Chondrosarcoma as well.

Help Get The Word Out. On Saturday, March 20, 2021; the Chondrosarcoma CS Foundation, Inc. hosted its Second International Virtual Dialogue featuring two prominent world renown experts: Dr. Jonathan Trent and Dr. Adrienne Flanagan who introduced new medications and innovations on how to diagnose and treat Chondrosarcoma.

Knowledge is Power. This is information must be shared. It can help CS Warriors make informed decisions about their care. It can help Oncologists advance care to newly diagnosed CS Patients.

The virtual dialogue affirmed that anyone diagnosed with Chondrosarcoma needs to obtain a pathology report and a tissue sample or in the near future a blood sample for assessment of genetic mutations (biomarkers). This should be the standard for every CS Patient around the world.

I dream of a future where CS patients are diagnosed early (via blood tests) where biomarkers are identified and medication (as opposed to surgery) is provided.
